Ted Cruz: Just a bit more about him and his stupidity

 This past month, Cruz has been a one-man wrecking ball doing his best to singlehandedly destroy both the American as well as the global economy as a way to booster his own standing in the world.  He almost did it, too.  He led his cohorts yesterday in the Senate to actually put their vote on record for a global economic collapse rather than open the government and raising the debt ceiling.  Thanks to this vote, Senators Rand Paul and Marco Rubio can effectively kiss their 2016 presidential aspirations goodbye.  Wanting the entire global financial system to crash to prove a political point is not a strong selling point in a general election.
Cruz also successfully led his cuckoo bananas Tea Party House caucus to vote for the shutdown and then act outraged when national parks and monuments were closed due to said shutdown.  It was like watching sheep being led to slaughter.  None of the Tea Party members knew what the endgame was.  Louie Gohmert and John McCain are no longer spending Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any day in the congressional cafeteria together.  Cruz even managed to bring back everyone’s favorite half-term Alaskan governor to remind us all how she would most likely lose a round of trivia against any of the Kardashians.  All these people rallied around Cruz for one reason and one reason only:  To try and take over the world.
You see, Ted Cruz represents a real life Brain (although nowhere near as smart) from the hit Warner Brothers Animation show Pinky and the Brain of the mid-1990s.  The show centered around a brilliant yet misguided mouse who honestly believed he could take over the world to satisfy his own ego.

My mother told me she found me outside, left for dead, and when she heard me trying to get to the door, she thought it was a dog scratching. I was weak and could have died in the below freezing temperatures.
Next thing I knew, I was in the ER getting blood drawn and having various tests done. We all knew what had happened, we just wanted someone else to say it for us. The doctors examined the rape kit and verified that our nightmares were real. This nightmare, though, didn't end. It continued on for many long months. It was only later I learned that my best friend,  a year younger than me, had been raped, too.

Days seemed to drag on as I watched my brother get bullied and my mom lose her job. Ultimately our house burned to the ground.

IF I am not mistaken, the resolution of the semi-crazed government stalemate was resolved primarily by senators Reid and McConnell; President Obama apparently hung tight, and majority leader Boehner is now officially licking his wounds. Twelve female senators (there are 20 in all) were given credit for bridging the gaping parties gap, and pushing for solutions that would end the brinkmanship with default looming very large, and the government on the sidelines for 16 days.
So there are maybe 20 people who were primarily responsible for the agreement, and their pictures would have made sense illustrating the story. Ted Cruz? He pretty much had nada to do with it. Notice, in all the shenanigans, Obamacare wasn’t on the table—it faded away days ago, as Cruz should have.

Drunk Disturbance – Officer responded to a residence wherein a drunken tenant was having problems with her drunken landlord. An officer advised the landlord, who wanted his obstreperous tenant removed, that he needed to follow approved eviction procedures for that to happen.
Assault – Officers responded to the residence of the drunken landlord and his tenant, wherein the landlord claimed to have been awakened by his tenant pounding on his testicles. Officers determined the incident had not happened as described, and again encouraged the landlord to follow eviction procedures if he found his tenant too unruly.

Suspicious Person/Activity – Local caller reported having paid kidnappers $1200 to release his daughter (currently in another state), who had allegedly been nabbed after she threatened to call police about a traffic accident. Only after paying the demanded amount did the caller phone his daughter, to find that she was safe and had never been in a traffic accident. An officer advised the caller he was the victim of fraud and suggested he contact Western Union to stop payment on the funds.

Most young people I know are only two to three paychecks away from living on the streets.  If they lost their job, they would be in trouble.  Many have children.  The Republicans are working hard to take away any safety net program which could help them get through a difficult period which often starts with the loss of income.

During a press conference, Democratic Reps. Gerry Connolly and Jim Moran said the shutdown has hurt Virginia more than any other state. They pointed out that more than 185,000 Virginia residents are federal employees and federal spending represents about one-third of the state's entire economy. In addition, Virginia is home to a large number of veterans who are now experiencing delays in receiving their benefits.
It's been more than two weeks since the Senate passed a "clean" funding bill to open the government, with no strings attached. Typically, any House member could call up that bill and request a vote. But on Sept. 30, on the eve of the shutdown, Republicans quietly changed the House rules so only one person can bring that bill up: Cantor.
Moran said the rules change was "unprecedented" and has left Virginians, along with every one else, at the hands of Cantor to end the shutdown, even though he refuses to do so. The Senate-passed bill already has the votes to pass in the House and would be signed into law by the president, if it were allowed to get a vote.
"Hardest-hit state in the nation," Moran said. "Yet the one person holding this up is the person who represents the state capital, who is the majority leader of the House."
