NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—Calling criticism of her misrepresentations about Planned Parenthood “typical left-wing tactics,” the Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina said, on Sunday, “I will not be bullied into telling the truth.”
Appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” the former Hewlett-Packard C.E.O. denied that spreading misinformation about Planned Parenthood was “in any way incendiary,” but added, “What is truly incendiary is demanding that someone who is seeking the highest office in the land stop lying.”
Fiorina noted that many of her rivals for the Republican nomination—including Donald Trump, Ben Carson, and Ted Cruz—had successfully used lying as a key element of their campaign strategies. “All I am trying to do is level the playing field,” she said.

Republicans are inciting Domestic Terrorism.

Since the falsified video, there have been killings (shootings), burning of buildings and vandalism at Planned Parenthoods.  All of these are Domestic Terrorism and should be investigated as such.  The Republicans are inciting violence against Planned parenthood regularly.  After they were found out that the videos were not true, they just repeating the information as if it were fact.

Fifteen years ago, a Florida judge cited my stats theory and the recount ended. The Iraq War still torments me

Muslim Shooter - Guilty., Black Shooter - Guilty, Hispanic Shooter - Guilty: White Shooter - Wait for Facts.

The Right Wing will not say that a White Guy going into a school, theater or business shooting and killing people is a Terrorist.  The number of people killed by White Ammosexuals is much higher than those killed by Terrorists.

White Guys who shoot, burn or destroy Planned Parenthood Businesses are Terrorists!  They have a collective group of Right Wing Crazies who are intentionally targeting innocent people who are doing a legal business of helping women and men with their health.

PRO-LIFERS(?) Gleeful about the CO Planned Parenthood Shootings.

This is just sick.

I had a 15 year old young girl student who was raped regularly by her step dad and/or friends during the summer.  She was the prize for winning the poker game.  She came to school in the fall pregnant.  When she told her sad tale to the counselor, she was put in the States custody and given the option of an abortion.

The decision to have or not have this child should be between that girl and her doctor.

The men went to jail.

In 30 States, if the girl decides to have the baby, the rapist can go to court to be a parent in the child's life.  Again, this is not right.

Domestic Terrorism and the Evil White Men Who Do It. (Encouraged by FOX and the GOP)

What happened at the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood on the Friday after Thanksgiving was inevitable. After the deceptively-named Center for Medical Progress released the equally deceptively-edited videos accusing Planned Parenthood of profiting from the sale of fetal parts, someone had to die in the end.
Of all the phony attacks and accusations made against Planned Parenthood by a new generation of anti-choice activists like James O’ Keefe and Lila Grace Rose, the videos created by former O’Keefe confederate David Daleiden raised the bar — or lowered it depending on how you view them — on over the top accusations intended to fire up Christian conservatives and embolden lawmakers to do all they can to destroy Planned Parenthood.

The Planned Parenthood Shooter was an Obama hating, peeping tom

In one statement, made after the suspect was taken in for questioning, Dear said "no more baby parts" in reference to Planned Parenthood, according to two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the case.

Now I am going to err on the side of caution and remind everybody that we still do not have definitive evidence as to what Mr. Dear's motives were, but I can tell you that if he did NOT go on this shooting spree because of abortion, then he is really going to disappoint his new fans:

I would like to brag that I saw coming Donald Trump's unique ability to activate—nay,to embody —all three of the Great Premises at once, but I can't really do that. Gut Bacteria and Behavior: The Connection

Ohio State University researchers have found that gut bacteria affect a toddler's temperament. After examining the stool samples of 77 kids aged 18-27 months, the researchers concluded that it was time to step outside and get some fresh air. They also concluded that mood, curiosity, sociability, impulsivity, and — in boys — extroversion were linked to more genetically diverse bacterial species.
Gut bacteria is having a moment lately, even receiving the Very Important Story treatment recently in the New York Times. The paper of record takes a deep dive into research that increasingly suggests the microorganisms swimming around your pipes not only digest food and fight disease, they secrete mood-regulating chemicals like serotonin, dopamine, and gamma-aminobutyric acid or GABA.
"There is definitely communication between bacteria in the gut and the brain, but we don't know which one starts the conversation," says the OSU study's co-author Dr. Michael Bailey.

Why are there so many police shootings compared to other countries?

Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke was charged with first degree murder November 24 in the death of Laquan McDonald. A video released by police shows Van Dyke shooting the teenager 16 times.
Van Dyke is an extreme example of a pattern of unnecessary deadly force used by US police. American police kill a few people each day, making them far more deadly than police in Europe.
Historic rates of fatal police shootings in Europe suggest that American police in 2014 were 18 times more lethal than Danish police and 100 times more lethal than Finnish police, plus they killed significantly more frequently than police in France, Sweden and other European countries.
As a scholar of sociology and criminal justice, I recently set out to understand why rates of police lethality in the US are so much higher than rates in Europe.

How GW Bush made ISIS by dumb decisions

What President George W. Bush’s administration did was to foster sectarian divisions and create a long-lasting insurgency.
At every point along the way, the Bush administration made choices that exacerbated sectarian tensions in Iraq and set the country on the path to break-up. The assertion by some observers that the country is riven by age-old hatreds, is ahistorical and incorrect. In previous decades, political passions centered on anti-colonialism or big landlordism and socialism. The vacuum of power created by the U.S. dissolution of the secular Baath Party encouraged Iraqi politicians to play on sectarian passions in unprecedented ways. Provoking a violent insurgency was likewise fateful. Once an insurgency comes into being, it typically does not subside for 10 to 15 years.
But Americans have difficulty recognizing their own culpability in the rise of the Islamic State for two reasons. First, the public (and the press) seldom understood or credited Iraqi social forces with the ability to act independently, focusing instead on the U.S. military’s campaigns. Second, Iraq became a football in partisan bickering, with dispassionate analysis abandoned for unsubstantiated blame games.

Trump: Made up History to increase the value of a golf course LIES SELL for Trump

Donald J. Trump.
In 2009, Trump bought a rundown golf course on Lowes Island, Virginia. He chopped down an actual historic forest to improve the view, pumped millions into renovations, designated his new property an ersatz historical site, and opened his doors to the well heeled suckers.
Since then, Trump has been told repeatedly, publicly and in private, by some of the most prominent experts in American history that he is completely and utterly wrong about his so-called River of Blood.
Unsurprisingly, Trump refuses to budge or admit error.
In point of fact, Trump believes he knows more about Civil War history than the people who study, excavate, preserve, and teach it as their profession.
According to the New York Times, Trump quipped, “How would they know that?” when told historians had called his plaque a fiction. “Were they there?”
Despite a complete lack of historical evidence, Trump justifies his version of American history by saying, “That was a prime site for river crossings. So, if people are crossing the river, and you happen to be in a civil war, I would say that people were shot, a lot of them.”
How would scientists know that?
Were they there?

Trump lies routinely: His followers don't care about facts so it is ok. A Reporters analyzes how and why

While the majority of the mainstream media continues to tiptoe around Republican Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump’s neo-fascist behavior and consistent lying (*cough* Morning Joe *cough*), at least one well-known reporter has decided to push back against the celebrity billionaire and reject the standard hands-off horse race narrative his colleagues use during election season. Following more than a week’s worth of disgusting rhetoric towards Muslims and blacks and numerous false statements used to advance racist and xenophobic hate, Trump’s campaign tactics were called out by CNN’s Chris Cuomo during Tuesday’s broadcast of New Day.
Moderating a panel discussion on Trump’s tendency to tell his supporters complete fabrications and spin it as the absolute truth, Cuomo pointed out that the reality TV star is now using GOP voters’ distrust of the liberal media to push an agenda of hate and fear based on total lies. Speaking to guests Zeke Miller and Errol Louis, Cuomo highlighted how Trump and Ben Carson are exploiting skepticism of “lefty” reporters to say anything they want without fear of reprisal.

The Koch and Exxon funded Global Warming MISINFORMATION campaign is coming to light. It was exensive

Hiding real information and putting out lies was the norm since 1977.

To understand how corporate funding has contributed to the polarization of climate change in the United States, Farrell looked at 20 years’ worth of data, analyzing articles, texts, and policy papers produced by 164 organizations and more than 4,500 individuals who do not accept the science of climate change (that climate change is either not happening or not a product of human activity). The study also looked at funding from two key contrarian entities: the Koch Family Foundationsand ExxonMobil.
By analyzing both the networks of individuals and organizations that have participated in climate misinformation campaigns and the climate-related texts that those organizations produced between 1993 and 2013, Farrell found what he described to the Washington Post as an “ecosystem of influence” within groups that received corporate funding. Groups that received funding from Koch or Exxon were not only more likely to have written texts aimed at polarizing climate change, but were more likely to change the emphasis of their content over time. Beginning in 2008, groups that received funding were more likely than unfunded groups to produce texts stressing things like the idea that climate change is a long term cycle or that carbon dioxide is in fact good for the planet, key tenets of the climate misinformation campaign aimed at casting doubt on the scientific consensus. Groups that received funding consistently touted these themes, while groups with no funding didn’t show the same level of coordination.

White Right Wing Terrorists GUN DOWN 5 BLACKS in the South

Just days after a black man was viciously beaten at a Donald Trump rally, racist violence has broken out once again. Black Lives Matter protesters had been demonstrating outside of the 4th District Police Station in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after 24-year-old Jamar Clark was gunned down by police officers. Clark was unarmed and reports indicate that he was cuffed, or at least restrained, when the killing happened - making it a summary execution, prompting the protests and an investigation by the Department of Justice.
Three white males wearing masks approached the protests and began behaving "belligerently." When they were escorted away from the protests, they turned and open fire, injuring five protesters before fleeing. The suspects have yet to be apprehended. Black Lives Matter Minneapolis has called the shooting an act of domestic terrorism by white supremacy, which it certainly was, and have vowed to return to protesting despite the violence.

AP Fact Check: GOP Candidates flunk Climate Science

When it comes to climate science, two of the three Democratic presidential candidates are A students, while most of the Republican contenders are flunking, according to a panel of scientists who reviewed candidates' comments.
At the request of The Associated Press, eight climate and biological scientists graded for scientific accuracy what a dozen top candidates said in debates, interviews and tweets, using a 0 to 100 scale.
To try to eliminate possible bias, the candidates' comments were stripped of names and given randomly generated numbers, so the professors would not know who made each statement they were grading. Also, the scientists who did the grading were chosen by professional scientific societies.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton had the highest average score at 94. Three scientists did not assign former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley a score, saying his statements mostly were about policy, which they could not grade, instead of checkable science.
Two used similar reasoning to skip grading New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and one did the same for businesswoman Carly Fiorina. Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas had the lowest score, an average of 6. All eight put Cruz at the bottom of the class.
"This individual understands less about science (and climate change) than the average kindergartner," Michael Mann, a Pennsylvania State University meteorology professor, wrote of Cruz's statements. "That sort of ignorance would be dangerous in a doorman, let alone a president."

Chris Cuomo talks to Rep Steve King about wrong information to reject Refugees

CNN host Chris Cuomo pushed back against Rep. Steve King’s anti-immigrant rhetoric on Tuesday after the congressman claimed that Syrian refugees should be turned away because no one from the Middle East had ever successfully assimilated into another country.
“It isn’t about if we can vet them or not, we simply can’t,” King insisted. “But we know if we bring in people from that part of the world, some of them will become terrorists. If they aren’t when they arrive, a number of them will be afterwards.”
Cuomo, however, pointed out that there was no evidence that Syrian refugees would become radicalized after moving to the United States.

STD's among 15 to 24 year olds is skyrocketing.

Abstinence Educaton.
The CDC estimates that nearly 20 million new STD infections happen each year in the U.S., with the majority affecting 15 to 24-year-olds.
Reports of gonorrhea and syphilis also increased in 2014. There was a 2.8% increase in chlamydia since 2013, and reports of syphilis, which has three stages, increased for the most infectious stages of the disease by 15.1%.
One of the reasons for this rise in STDs is the war being waged on public health in this country over the last couple of decades.

Reagan's EPA Director says Republicans are wrong to deny Global Warming

Republicans are not going to like what Ronald Reagan’s Environmental Protection Agency Director said about them. That’s because the truth hurts.
When Richard Nixon created the EPA in 1970, he chose a Republican to lead the crusade against those who would poison our water, air, and land in the name of profit.
The man he tapped to lead the charge is William Ruckelshaus, who ushered in many of the environmental protections we enjoy today. Three years later, he would step down, only to be reappointed to the position ten years later by none other than conservative saint Ronald Reagan.
And guess what? Ruckelshaus is absolutely disgusted with how current Republicans treat the environment and deny climate science.

Study: White Americans biggest Terrorist Threat in US

White Americans are the biggest terror threat in the United States, according to a study by the New America Foundation. The Washington-based research organization did a review of “terror” attacks on US soil since Sept. 11, 2001 and found that most of them were carried out by radical anti-government groups or white supremacists.
Almost twice as many people have died in attacks by right-wing groups in America than have died in attacks by Muslim extremists. Of the 26 attacks since 9/11 that the group defined as terror, 19 were carried out by non-Muslims. Yet there are no white Americans languishing inside the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay. And there are no drones dropping bombs on gatherings of military-age males in the country's lawless border regions.
Attacks by right-wing groups get comparatively little coverage in the news media. Most people will struggle to remember the shooting at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin that killed six people in 2012.

Missouri: One Lawmaker is working hard to shut down a Planned Parenthood Office or take a Universities funding

If the Columbia clinic is forced to stop offering abortions, women in Columbia will once again have to drive 125 miles each way — even just to get a prescription for the abortion pill. Before that, they'll have to make an additional trip to whichever satellite clinic is closest to them to comply with the state's 72-hour "informed consent" waiting period law. (Weekends and holidays don't count toward the 72 hours.)
Many women who live too far away from St. Louis, or who can't afford to take enough time off work, will end up crossing state lines into Kansas or Illinois. There's a clinic just across the western border in Kansas, but women who go there still have to deal with Kansas's 24-hour waiting period. And if they need a later abortion because the fetus has a serious defect, Kansas bans abortion after 20 weeks.

Koch Intelligence Agency: No need for the FBI = Koch Brothers are keeping tabs on you and I now

The political network helmed by Charles and David Koch has quietly built a secretive operation that conducts surveillance and intelligence gathering on its liberal opponents, viewing it as a key strategic tool in its efforts to reshape American public life.
The operation, which is little-known even within the Koch network, gathers what Koch insiders refer to as “competitive intelligence” that is used to try to thwart liberal groups and activists, and to identify potential threats to the expansive network.
Story Continued Below
The competitive intelligence team has a staff of 25, including one former CIA analyst, and operates from one of the non-descript Koch network offices clustered near the Courthouse metro stop in suburban Arlington, Va. It has provided network officials with documents detailing confidential voter-mobilization plans by major Democrat-aligned groups. It also sends regular “intelligence briefing” emails tracking the canvassing, phone-banking and voter-registration efforts of labor unions, environmental groups and their allies, according to documents reviewed by POLITICO and interviews with a half-dozen sources with knowledge of the group.
The competitive intelligence team has gathered on-the-ground intelligence from liberal groups’ canvassing events in an effort to assess the technology and techniques of field efforts to boost Democrats, according to the sources.

Garlic: The Benefits of Garlic on your health

Garlic Fights 160 Diseases, Including Cancer

Studies have demonstrated garlic's effects for more than 160 different diseases.1 In general, its benefits fall into four main categories:
  1. Reducing inflammation (reduces risk of osteoarthritis and other diseases associated with inflammation)
  2. Boosting immune function (antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and antiparasitic properties)
  3. Improving cardiovascular health and circulation (protects against clotting, retards plaque, improves lipids, and reduces blood pressure)
  4. Toxic to 14 kinds of cancer cells (including brain, lung, breast, gastric, and pancreatic)
In terms of cancer, garlic has been shown to kill cancer cells in laboratory studies, as well as shown promise when consumed via your diet. One study showed that women who regularly ate garlic (along with fruits and vegetables) had a 35 percent lower risk of colon cancer.2

Those who consume high amounts of raw garlic also appear to have a lower risk of stomach and colorectal cancers.3
Furthermore, among people with inoperable forms of colorectal, liver, or pancreatic cancer, taking an extract of aged garlic for six months helped to improve immune function, which suggests it may be useful for helping your immune system during times of stress or illness.4
