Since the election of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States famed political commentator Keith Olbermann has come out of his semi-retirement to take Trump to task like only he can. Olbermann has been participating in a series of segments hosted by GQ called “The Resistance” and in his most recent episode he laid out a perfectly legal and constitutional method to remove Trump from power.

The 25th Amendment to the Constitution has an interesting section which has been overlooked until Olbermann brought it back up. He said, “It was written nearly 52 years ago, more with Woodrow Wilson in mind, and yet it might as well have been named for Donald John Trump.” Olbermann went on to say, “It’s a crazy-man clause, right? In the case of Trump, it presumes he behaves as president as he is behaving as president-elect. For my money, he’s nuts – couldn’t pass a sanity test, open book.”

Olbermann believes this is the silver bullet to remove Trump from power, “But of course, Section Four of the 25th Amendment here does not say ‘nuts’ – or impaired, or erratic or unbalanced or unhealthy or bipolar or narcissist or sociopath or psychopath. It only says ‘that the president is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”

Trump won the election after facing long odds, but with this information he could be removed from power. Perhaps that is why Trump is stacking his cabinet with loyalists and individuals who supported his candidacy early so that he can deprive them the option.
