The Yukon River is solidly frozen - 27 degrees
The ice has usually broken or about to break by now, not this year though. Ice is still solid.
I just went for a walk on the Yukon and the water is starting to form on the sides again. I had to walk about 1/4 mile to get to a spot where I could get across the water. The sun is shining and it is melting the top of the ice. Luckily, we had a little snow so it provided enough grip to keep it from being super icy and slick. The water on top of the ice makes it super slick. I think that will happen today. I could not get across to the other side.
IT FEELS SO WARM OUTSIDE. IT IS ABOUT 35 DEGREES AT 10:30 AM. Super Sunny outside. I wish I had sun glasses.
