OUTHOUSE AT 30 BELOW ZERO

I went to the post office to mail a suitcase this morning and I just realized something.

All sheds for nets are not just for nets. I saw a person go into a shed and come back out shortly afterward. THAT IS AN OUTHOUSE FOR 3 HOUSES. It just hit me. I am talking to locals and they have been saying that some here do not have running water or indoor bathrooms. I know I have a few students that smell and one even gets to take showers at school. I think no indoor bathroom is more common than I thought.

OUTHOUSE AT 30 BELOW - what a thought. There is no heat in the shed the person came out of.

I walked to the other side of the Frozen Yukon and was walking on the island on the other side. I found a moose skull with the antlers attached. There were chew marks on it, the fox have been chewing away. I sank down about 6 inches at one place but my boots are 9 inces so my feet did not get water logged.

I was thinking as I was walking alone out of sight of Emo, People actually lived out here like this. These are hardy people. People with Eskimo blood are tough people.

Interesting stuff. A very large percentage of people on earth don't have indoor plumbing, including our country. But 30 below zero would make for a quick potty break.
