The audience of UK television show Question Time erupted in applause as one of its members unleashed on Donald Trump and all politicians like him.
“He’s clearly racist,” the man says, explaining that Trump’s open bigotry “encouraged the attack” on “innocent worshipers at a mosque in Canada” that left six dead.
While Fox News and the Right made a fuss about a Muslim witness to the attack, labeling him the attacker, the actual culprit was Alexanre Bissonnette — a 27-year-old Trump fan who also happens to be a white supremacist (imagine that). The “Moroccan Muslim shooter” lie was even parroted by White House press secretary Sean Spicer despite the inconvenient fact that Bissonnette’s identity had already been made public.
The audience applauded as the man laid into Trump, but he wasn’t done. He then took aim at The Donald’s allies in his own country:
“A lot of respectable politicians like Trump and like some closer to home have blood on their hands when they make statements which stir people up and appear to give them permission to attack Muslims and immigrants and I think it’s a disgrace.”
“If Trump does come here I can guarantee there’ll be such a turnout to let him know he is not welcome it’ll be the biggest demonstration we’ve seen for years,” he added. Again, the crowd went wild. Trump recently visited the United Kingdom, but that was before he enacted his Muslim ban, which was met with worldwide protest and condemnation.
