The entire country has been laughing at Donald Trump since claims surfaced that he paid some Russian women to, ahem, “drain the swamp.” Samantha Bee took on what has been termed #GoldenShowerGate Wednesday night and it was just too funny to miss.
Bee pointed out that these claims are probably not true because Trump doesn’t actually pay anyone for the work that they do.
“There’s a high probability this story is bullshit,” Bee said. “But the fact that it’s ‘plausible bullshit’ is a terrifying statement about what our nation has come to.”
She said that no one would ever believe these claims about Obama, but as Bee noted, he’s got people who piss on him for free. At this point, a nice photo of Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell popped up behind her. On the other hand, you can totally believe Trump would hire girls to pee on a bed just because Obama had slept in it.
“In fact, if we believe something nasty and petty is what gets Trump hard, then his late night tweets to Alec Baldwin make a lot more sense,” Bee said.
The Full Frontal host couldn’t help but make fun of Trump’s “dumbass prop table.” Instead of his failed Trump products, this time he had manilla envelopes, which Bee said, “represents a soggy mattress once occupied by the last president we could look at without bursting into tears.”
She had to laugh at Trump’s choice of words during his press conference and recommended that he avoid words like “releasing” and “number one.” However, she pointed out that although Trump was furious, it sure as hell wasn’t Russia he’s mad at.
Trump claims that Russia can help us fight ISIS, which he said is “number one, tricky.” This, Bee said, just happens to be the name of Trump’s favorite escort service. She then slammed Trump for his attacks on the free press, refusing to answer questions from CNN because they are fake news.
Bee concluded by saying she sincerely hopes the golden shower revelation will help bring attention to the other details contained in the document regarding Trump’s ties to Russia, which are the real story in that bombshell report.
