Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich has been acting as a mouthpiece for Trump lately. And his latest comments on Trump’s “Drain the Swamp” flop are outrageous, to say the least.
Gingrich told NPR this week that Trump’s doing some major backtracking.Now, Trump doesn’t want to be beholden any longer to his big fat lie to “Drain the Swamp.”
“I’m told he now just disclaims that [phrase],” Gingrich said. “He now says it was cute, but he doesn’t want to use it anymore.”

Trump obviously doesn’t like the phrase anymore because he’s been filling his administration with the elites that he promised to take on. Using it any longer just exposes him as the hypocrite that he really is.
Mr. Demagogue has been lying to the American people left and right. And Gingrich’s comments reveal that Trump knows just what to say in order to manipulate the anger of the general public.
Trump doesn’t plan to change “business as usual” in Washington. He’s just jamming the capital full with the same swamp monster elites who have been taking advantage of America’s working class for years now.
If there’s anything we’ve learned by now, it’s that not a single word that comes out of Trump’s mouth is true. He and his goons are going to rob America blind, not heal our nation’s divisions.
Trump thinks the presidency is like a reality show: he can say whatever he wants no matter how true it is. But we’ll remember your lies, Mr. Trump, and we’ll remember how you fortified the “Swamp.”
