Great Obama editorial - Is it Negative or Positive? Hmmmm

Dear Editor, After eight years of incompetence in the White House, America has had enough. The country has suffered through poor people being insured. The work force has suffered through 96 straight months of job growth. It was a terrible slap at bush when President Obama’s intelligence services hunted Osama bin Laden, found him and killed him. The final indignity was the near-tripling of the stock market under President Obama’s administration. How dare President Obama make the country suffer so much! To add insult to injury, President Obama appointed incompetent people to his cabinet. For example, why in the world would President Obama foist Ernest Moniz on the country as the Secretary of Energy? Moniz is a nuclear physicist. What does he know about oil? Sure, he served as the Associate Director for Science in the Office of Science and Technology Policy for two years, but he’s never been the governor of Texas, an oil producing state. It’s true that he held a named seat at MIT and served as the Director of the Energy Initiative, and as the Director of the Laboratory for Energy and the Environment, but he doesn’t own any oil stock or work with any oil companies. It’s also true the Moniz was confirmed unanimously by the senate, but most of them down’t have petroleum portfolios either. It’s clearly time for a change. What has President Obama’s incompetence gotten us besides a growing economy for eight years, health insurance for the poor, a strong automobile industry, a booming stock market, recognition and respect around the world, and no terrorist attacks by foreigners. No one will argue when I suggest that the minority of Americans who voted for trump are tired of incompetence. They want competence in the White House and competence at all levels. What better indicator of the competence of the incoming administration than the nomination of the ex-governor of Texas who has a degree in Animal Science and sits on the board of the company trying not to pollute Native American Sacred Lands by driving a pipeline across them? That’s right. Rick Perry, who forgot during a republican debate that he wanted to disband the Department of Energy, has been nominated to head the Department of Energy. That will surely make America great again. Sincerely, Daniel C. Mason Father, teacher, veteran and voter
