Inauguration Day marks the beginning President-elect Donald Trump’s presidency in the White House, though Hollywood actor and SNL Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin is claiming otherwise. In a series of fired out tweets, Baldwin claims Jan 20. will be the “end” for Trump.
Trump had recently tweeted about how he was not interested in A-list celebrities attending his event, and it wasn’t more than a few hours later that Baldwin retaliated against the tweet with his own posts. In his tweets, Baldwin calls Trump “the most reviled candidate in our history.” He further tweets:
“Unwanted by a significant majority … of voters. A man who has projected little other than an empty braggadocio and synthetic rhetoric about both his qualifications and plans … but Inauguration Day means the beginning of the countdown to when he will be gone. And he will be gone. January 20. The countdown begins.”
It’s been known for awhile that Trump and Baldwin are not fans of each other, considering Baldwin’s scathing portrayal of the president-elect on Saturday Night Live. Trump has made it clear he’s not a fan when he tweeted earlier this month: “Just tried watching Saturday Night Live – unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can’t get any worse. Sad.”
