Donald Trump’s words are played over video clips from the Civil Rights struggles of the 1960s, and the juxtaposition of the two worlds shows some frightening overlap.
What, exactly, is Trump talking about when he talks about the “good ol’ days” in his speeches? Because the “ol’ days” weren’t so good for a lot of people. There’s nothing funny about this.
Is this the kind of America he’s talking about when he says we need to make it great again? Given the behavior I’ve seen from some of his supporters, I think the answer to that is yes.
