Retired Major General lost his father in Vietnam. He has a few words about Donald Trump – ‘For America’
Retired Major General Paul Eaton, best known for his command of operations to train Iraqi troops during Operation Iraqi Freedom, is speaking out against Donald Trump in a new campaign ad called “For America.”
Eaton details the reasons why he cannot support a Trump presidency based on his years of command service in the United States Army.
“I know the sacrifices our military makes,” he begins. “My father was a fighter pilot who went missing over Laos during the Vietnam war.”
Discussing his own war record, Gen. Eaton continues:
For 30 years I served everywhere, from Iraq to Somalia, where I have been responsible for the lives of our sons and daughters. For all of them and for our country, I cannot support Donald Trump. Donald Trump doesn’t have the temperament or judgement to be our commander in chief. That’s why I’m speaking out. For America.

Started in 2006 and backed by over 400,000 veterans, military family members and their supporters, the mission of VoteVets.org is to use public issue campaigns to give a voice to veterans on matters of national security, veterans’ care, and every day issues that affect the lives of those who served, and their families.
