Samantha Bee is confused about the religious right.
On Monday night, the “Full Frontal“ host wondered why right-wing Christians had ignored a ready-made presidential candidate in Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), the son of a preacher whose campaign was based on a Bible passage, and opted to support Donald Trump, who she described as a “thrice-married, foul-mouthed tit judge.”
“Seriously, what is going on? Are evangelicals that eager to get the apocalypse going?” Bee asked.
In a bid to make sense of the seismic shift, Bee went back in time to explain whyevangelicals had helped to turn the billionaire real estate magnate into the presumptive GOP nominee.
