In case you’re unfamiliar with your typical Trump rally, it usually consists of Trump bitching about nonsensical crap and spouting mean girl lines, only to be followed up with some poor protester getting the crap kicked out of him while he eggs people on. Like Hitler (but with bad hair), Trump is brilliant at attacking the fragile emotions of the miserably uninformed for political gain. This is just one big reality tv show for him, and we’re all just pawns in his little game. It’s only a matter of time before a protester gets killed at one of his rallies. I know, assault is so “politically correct.”
But while Donald, a billionaire who exploits cheap labor like it’s going out of style, wants his rabid supporters to think that he has their economic interests at heart, he’s really just tapping into their white angst.
The screaming orange monster that is Donald Trump did not just appear out of thin air. Rather, he was the end product of seven years of solid rage over a black president. While there exists Republicans who simply dislike President Obama on merits, a great many of them look at him and see something that just didn’t sit well with them. Is it his goofy sounding foreign name and some of his life spent abroad? Perhaps. But we have witnessed enough naked racism and bigotry from the million moron army known as the Teabaggers to know what it’s REALLY all about. And the treatment of black people at Trump rallies, including the tossing around of the n**ger epithet, demonstrates a much bigger frustration than mere economics.
Among white voters, higher levels of racial resentment have been shown to be associated with greater support for Trump. For the most part, President Obama has largely governed as a centrist and shown pragmatism on a whole host of major issues. The 2016 insane clown posse would love for you to believe that President Obama has been an unmitigated disaster for the economy — which keeps morons voting against their own economic self-interests — but the fact remains the unemployment rate went from 10.0 percent when Obama took office to 5.1 percent now. Sure, the millennial generation is bereft and without stable income and wage like the previous generations, but that’s something being addressed by Bernie Sanders. Trump’s entire campaign mantra has ben hurling juvenile insults at his opponents and instigating white frustrations.
