Update December 7: URGENT: Paul Ryan and his House Republicans are now demanding $100 billion in tax favors to their corporate patrons over the next decade as a condition for funding government beyond December 11. They don’t give a hoot that this corporate welfare will dramatically increase the budget deficit, yet they’re demanding any additional spending on social programs be fully paid for. This is a backdoor way to force the privatization of services Americans rely on -- such as Social Security, Medicare, and food stamps. Please call and write your member of congress right away to say you’re against corporate tax giveaways in the Omnibus appropriation bill.
