President Obama: No Igloos in Tikigaq village. Sod Huts were easier to warm

An Inupiaq student yesterday asked me why President Obama thinks Alaskan natives live in Igloos? President Obama made the comment in Kotzebue, AK yesterday.  President Obama:  In Tikigaq Village, the oldest inhabited village in North America, they used Sod Huts for at least 2 thousand years.  Some of these were used until about 1975.
