When people say they support Donald Trump because he’s honest, one has to sit back and think about the sheer ignorance of that statement. What exactly is he honest about? Are you talking policy wise, or are you talking about his racism, sexism, egotistical look-how-rich-I-am attitude?
Probably the latter. Because with the amount of people who may say “He tells it like it is” and “I can’t stand him, but I like what he says,” they likely have no idea what they are talking about.
You see, Donald Trump is a compulsive liar, but he does it with such pizzazz that even a seemingly moderate voter would believe him. He’s lied about unemployment numbers, he’s lied about Obamacare, he’s lied about immigration (his campaign’s center of focus), and he’s lied about taxes. These are all issues that have riled up conservative voters for years, and Trump isn’t the only Republican who lies about these issues.
However, many conservatives are hailing Trump as a breath of fresh-air, when in reality, he’s the exact same as the others, only louder and more offensive.
