Jon Stewart Makes Fun of Jim Inhofe’s Climate Ignorance in the Best Way

Every time it gets cold, the Republicans fall all over themselves to show their ignorance on climate change. After learning of the report listing 2014 as the hottest year on record, it was only a matter of time before Oklahoma Republican Senator James Inhofe was throwing snowballs around the Senate chamber as proof that global warming was a hoax.

Unfortunately for Earth, Inhofe is in charge of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. How is this possible? Because the GOP Senate Leadership doesn’t care. After all, these are the same people that put Pat Roberts in charge of the Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, and John McCain in charge of the Armed Services Committee.

These people could easily sit down with a real scientist and learn the facts on climate change, but we all know that wouldn’t suit their interests. They’d rather have a snowball fight than actually discuss this issue, because they have no idea how to intelligently have a debate on it.

You know, the Republicans’ willful ignorance would be a hell of a lot funnier if it wasn’t dooming the planet.
