Here are three ways Obama’s proposal would help students:

1. Create responsive student feedback by giving students and borrowers a simple and easy way to file complaints and give feedback.
2. Help borrowers afford their monthly payments by requiring enhanced disclosures from lenders about repayment options, and provide stronger consumer protections.
3. Create a website where students can find all of their loan information in one place.

With all of these combined efforts the White House believes this will make life a little easier for students by helping borrowers manage their debt responsibly, improve federal student loan servicing, and protect taxpayers’ investment in the student aid program.
