Bill Nye explains why Global Warming is so hard to stop

Many environmental scientists spend their days poring over mountains of data and researching ways to minimize the effects of climate change. But what may puzzle them most–and all environmentalists for that matter–is that large segments of the population think that climate change isn’t even happening, that it’s part of an elaborate hoax.
Just like there are reasons why the earth is warming, so too are there explanations for climate change deniers.
As science guy Bill Nye points out, there is no one person to blame for climate change so there’s no enemy. And the real disastrous effects of climate change will be felt at some undetermined date in the future. It doesn’t give people a sense of urgency. Nye also notes that the US hasn’t led on climate so people don’t feel it affects them. But the recent deal President Obama engineered with China is reason for hope.
All of Nye’s explanations make sense, of course. But they don’t make one feel any better about the future of the planet.
