don't point to the Bible to justify your ignorance and
intolerance. Don't quote passages from Leviticus as if that settles the
debate. Because there are other passages in that book
specifying the offenses worthy of being stoned to death. There's a set
of rules laid out in Exodus for how a father should go about selling his
daughter. Somewhere in there it's made clear that the sun circles the
Earth. And while I can't put my hands on a Bible at the moment (we only
keep non-fiction in the house), I don't remember reading much about
dinosaurs in Catechism back at Our Mother of Perpetual Pain Catholic
Church when I was a kid.
Unless you're unwilling to admit the book has a few
omissions and errors, don't use it as the final arbiter for your fucking
argument.
Just admit you're a bigot, but stop trying to tell everyone "Jesus wants it that way."
Because, according to your reference book, the man didn't say shit about the subject.
He did, however, have a lot to say about loving one another, and reminding us not to judge others.
