The California Gun Death Rate has gone down dramatically since the Stockton Shooting.
To date, we have supported the adoption of over 30 significant laws,
including those to ban military-style weapons and ammunition magazines,
create strong safety standards for handguns, prohibit the open carrying
of unloaded firearms in public, and help law enforcement get guns out of
the hands of felons, domestic abusers and other dangerous people. The
state’s comprehensive and cogent gun laws place California at the
forefront of gun violence prevention.
