In the Tea Party GOP’s dream of Herrenvolk America all white people are equal, but some white people are more equal than others.
The
Republican Party has voted to kill the “useless eaters” by cutting food
assistance programs. But data on food stamp use from the USDA suggests
that such a policy will cause great pain to Republican voters. How do we
reconcile this contradiction?
Ultimately,
populist conservatives and the Tea Party base are so drunk on white
identity politics they are unable to realize that the plutocrats and the
1 percent have just as much disdain for them, regardless of their
common racial identity and skin color, as they do for the black and
brown poor.
