Sadly, this picture is what I think of Texas today. It is a pretty screwed up place actually. Politically, it is being run by the Republican Taliban. My family is from Texas and I have NO Desire go go visit anytime soon. If I wanted to live in a Religious Republic, I would consider a middle eastern country like Iran.
Last Night: The Republican (Taliban) passed a bill which closes most of the abortion clinics in the stte. Abortions are legal and I taught a 15 year old student who was raped by her father and his friends during a summer. She got pregnant. Fortunately, she was allowed to have a safe and legal abortion. Abortions need to be available and the decision should be between a woman and her doctor. In the girls case, the dad and his buddies ended up in jail.
