July 1, 2013: Who got shot and some killed on this date? I am not feeling safer yet! Guns are hurting and killing daily.

There are many more listed in the article. These two are a sample:

33-year-old Charles Sims Jr. was shot and killed at a Mobile, Ala., apartment complex Sunday night. Arvel Williams, 27, was charged with murder. Police are investigating.
Three men were shot and wounded in the Frankford neighborhood of Baltimore, Md., Sunday night, after a week that saw 36 people shot and 16 killed in the city. About two hours later, a shooting was reported in the Edgewood neighborhood. Three other shootings were reported Monday.
Baltimore Sun
Christopher Givans was shot and wounded at a home in New Ross, Ind., Sunday night. Elisha Arthur was arrested and charged with felony attempted murder.
42-year-old Billy Lee Burks was shot and killed in Antioch, Calif., Saturday morning, a day after he escaped death in another shooting. Burks was shot in the head at about 9:30 a.m. outside his apartment. He survived a shooting the day before, also outside his apartment. He would not tell investigators who shot him.
How can any sane person look at this list and not recognize that something is deeply, fundamentally wrong?
Slate’s Gun Deaths interactive tracking project reports at least 5,669 firearm-related deaths since the massacre in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012. For comparison, that’s pretty much the entire population of Barrow, Alaska.
