GW Bush Administration decimated the middle class! THE DATA IS IN.
If eviscerating the American middle-class was their end-goal, President Bush and his corrupt administration succeeded with flying colors. The data is in, proving that, since 2007, the Bush Recession has decimated the income of working families, exacerbating poverty and socioeconomic inequality to unprecedented levels.
An utter lack of government oversight/financial regulation, cheap money for the banks, and deplorable consumer protections led to a housing bubble which burst and left the middle class in debt and desperate for means of sustenance.
According to the National Employment Law Project, since the official end of the Bush Recession, low-wage jobs have grown at a pace that is nearly 3 times faster than better paying jobs. During the recovery, 58% of the recovery job growth has been produced in low-wage occupations, meaning that large corporations are taking advantage of the desperate American worker and gains in productivity in order to rake in record high corporate profits while cutting well-paying jobs.
