The Waltons (Walmart) are buying the LA School Board - Why?

The Walton Family and other Billionaires are spending hard to buy up the LA School Board so they can privatize it.  I am a teacher and am very offended. Studies show that Privatized Schools are doing no better and often worse than just your regular old non-privatized school.

 I taught in San Diego for a year and I saw the great teachers who worked their butts off to provide a quality education.  The biggest concern was the poverty of the students and parents.  Parents were working 60 hours a week just to maintain a minimal lifestyle.  Kids did not see their parents much because they were working at minimum wage jobs.

If Walmart heirs wanted to help people.  They would make their jobs livable wages so people could actually have time to spend with their children and help them with school work.
