Juneau, Mendenhall Glacier

We have sunshine like crazy today. It is about 20 degrees. I cross country skiied into Mendenhall Glacier and got a lot of pictures. I will download them tomorrow.
I am thinking of going back tonight to see the Northern Lights. There are few lights when skiiing on Mendenhall Lake to the Glacier, so I am thinking of returning to check it out. (These are old pictures)
Happy Valentine's Day

Love the photos Rich. You can really see the blue of the glacier in the first photo. The last one is fabulous!

That last one was is at a lake about 15 minutes from me. It is now frozen over and covered with snow. The light layer on top is ice.

Rich, what a beautiful callage you will have when you put all these pics together in a frame, simply stunning, as good as most professional photo's I have ever seen. Remember when we were kids on 29th St, and we could see the Northern lights? Now your there where they originate from, life leads us in all kinds of directions doesn't it, thankfully we are able to think outside the box.

Snow here today but will melt off this afternoon.

Yesterday we had sunshine and I was driving from spot to spot amazed really of the stuff I get to see. I drive 10 miles and I just go from one mountain to another, frozen lakes, bays and channels with eagles all over the place. We still have 3 feet of snow on the ground. The crews are picking up snow piles and hauling them out of town. They are getting ready for the next storm. I have not had to shovel snow for about 5 days - amazing.
