I walked out of school at 4:30 PM and it was not super dark out! I could see and did not even have to use my lights for 15 minutes. More light daily!! Spring is getting closer and closer in Alaska.
I would still like some new snow for this weekend though.

Rich, I am loving the fact that it is staying lighter longer here too. Yes spring is another day closer and it's not soon enough for me.
I have been thinking of buying some snow shoes myself. I bet they are cheaper now than they were the beginning of the year because stores are putting a lot of winter stuff on clearance.
Hi Rich, Mom would love these pictures she loved beautiful sunrises and sunsets, enjoying the beautiful scenery through your camera...snow and ice forecasted for the Ozarks, first ice forecast since we got here in October. so chicken driver in ice and snow will have to enjoy the log house for a few days, thankful for laptops.
I must say that I do feel fortunate to be able to see all of this. I go out the door and I am surrounded by mountains - pretty amazing.
