Eaglecrest Ski Area

Here are some more ski area pictures. Did I mention that I snowboard like crap? It is true. But, it was fun. I AM SO SORE TODAY! I could barely move this morning. I felt like I needed WD-40 to get my joints moving again. I am still quite sore this evening.
Notice the sun in the picture!!! So Rare!!! It was about 10 degrees with a 20 and 30 mile an hour wind. Keep moving type of weather.

I fly out tomorrow at 1:30 PM. It is now 6:30 PM. I have to go to school and do 2-4 hours of work and then I am gone. Still have to clean the apartment, pack, read over paperwork for school and stuff like that but hey, I can guarantee that I will not miss the flight. I have two grandsons who want to see if they can kick my butt yet. One of these times, they will. (We wrestle)

I could never snowboard. I am not coordinated enough! I envy those who can though. A perfect way to appreciate all of that snow.

Have fun on your trip. I bet you can't wait to see your grand kids. I am guessing you are there until after Christmas?

BTW: I did see your comments on my blog about not having access to the playlist songs when you try to open it. I think I thought of something and if I figure it out I will let you know!

Have a great flight.

Kalen, I am actually a cross country skier and my daughter said, "You are snowboarding today." I thought she was nuts but she had me on the board in a few hours. If you can hike, you can actually Xcountry or snowboard. With practice, you improve. I am gone until Jan 3. School starts Jan 5. I might take a road trip to find some sun. I believe I am better at X country.

I am looking forward to seeing the OR crew and the rugrats.

While I am on the subject, I would have been perfectly happy with cross country skiing or snow shoeing forever in the winter . Snow boarding gets me outside and higher in the mountains but it is all great stuff. Snowboarding can cost a lot more. It is relatively cheap in Juneau though.

I drove around the other day surrounded by mountains and sun. I feel in awe of this place on a sunny day. When we have 4 weeks of constant rain, it feels quite different though.
That is my 2 cents about that.
