This picture is about 7 miles from my apartment. It is on the road to nowhere. See the float planes. This is one of the few days when there was a break in the clouds and some sun was shining through. I was supposed to be at some event but the sun came out so I was taking pictures instead.

Beautiful landscape photos! Wow!
Loved the "I eat gravel" blog too. Should be a Juneau law that whenever the sun comes out, you are allowed to drop whatever you were doing and worship the fabulous Alaskan country.
Taking pictures to share with others less fortunate (city dwellers and desert rats) is a perfect sunny day activity.
