May 1, 35 degrees and sunny, new snow

May 1 and we have snow and ice! Imagine that. It looks like the middle of winter when compared to Wyoming or Montana. 35 degrees sure feels warm though. My perspective on cold has changed a lot since being in Alaska.
The heater is fixed! Works great! I sure like the -20 sleeping bag!

We had over an inch of snow the last day and a half. So I went for a walk on the Frozen Yukon and it was neat walking on fresh snow. I walked over to the island on the other side of the river. Good hike in the sun. The water that had formed on the river has again turned to ice, which is great.
