Emmonak, AK, SUNSET #2
10 above today! Sun Too! Hey, tomorrow, I fly with a couple of kids to the village of Alukanuk to snow shoe. We fly there in the morning, they snowshoe and we have lunch and fly back. It is part of the special olympics.
I am hoping to fly over some moose. The village is 8 miles away from Emmonak, and we have moose outside of our village. I am hoping to find the moose so I can hike or cross country ski to see them some weekend.

Wow! How exciting! Get some photos to share. We get to see this beautiful Alaskan world through your eyes and camera. Thanks!
No Moose sightings, but i did see some tracks. The vastness of Alaska is amazing. Once you go beyond a village, it is ice, snow and wind along with a few bushes. The flight was awesome. We bounced around a bit and the landing strip is a sheet of ice. The planes I rode on will cram in 6 people. If you are overweight - good luck fitting in. My student came in first place in all of his events, by the way. I FORGOT MY STUDENT BACK IN ALUKANUK! yikes!
