I talked to some CRAZY TEA PARTY FOOLS and they are crazy

I get emails from people like this. I scratch my head a lot because they are CRAZY!!!! (They happen to be relatives.)
1. Obamacare: It is a plot by Obama to take over the American healthcare system.
2. Obama has already tripled taxes on the middle class, and is giving the money to "those people."
A. He is a communist/socialist/fascist who is stealing all of the money from people who work and giving it to "those people" to reward them for not working.
3. He is not really the president.
A. Birther blah blah.
4. He hates America (no further explanation given, just lots of nodding heads.)
5. He violates the Constitution every day.
8. The reason for all of this is that Obama is planning to launch a war against the United States, probably a race war, bot definitely some sort of civil war.
9. The tracking devices would then be used to locate everyone who has been opposing him, so that they would then be rounded up "just like the Jews."

On "Real Time with Bill Maher" Friday night, the host put the House of Representatives' recent vote to repeal the federal estate tax in the context of the fast-food workers' strike for $15-an-hour wages to suggest American legislators are not focusing their efforts on the right issues.
"Congress felt the minimum wage workers' pain and this week they passed a bold new plan to completely eliminate the inheritance tax on the super rich," he said. "How does this happen in a democracy?"
"People working for $8 an hour," he continued, "and the other people who are supposed to represent everyone, the same people who never shut up about the deficit, just voted a $20 billion hole in the budget to go to 5,000 club kids with a trust fund."
Elsewhere in the monologue, Maher comments on Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, the Catholic Church and American law enforcement.

Semi Truck full of Honey Bee hives flips over in WA State this AM

A semi-truck loaded with honey bees overturned in Washington state before dawn Friday, unleashing millions of live bees across the highway.
"There are so many honey bees out here," Jake Whittenberg of KING 5 News reported from the scene.
The accident happened when the truck driver blew a tire while merging from I-405 to I-5. The driver was not hurt in the incident.
The clock was ticking on clean-up efforts, however, as responding beekeepers attempted to salvage as many boxes of bees as possible.

Women have been able to vote, sit jury duty and have their own jobs and bank accounts for decades now, but many conservatives continue insisting that women be considered minors who are simply incapable of making even the most basic personal decisions without a firm, guiding, preferably male hand.
This mentality is most obvious when considering conservative Christians who treat married women like they are their husbands' subjects. Using Ephesians 5:22 (“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord") as justification, many Christian conservatives argue that a husband is the head of the household and his wife is to submit to him, much in the same way children are expected to obey parents. In 1998, the Southern Baptist Convention gave official blessing to this view and this concept, often called “headship,” has spread wildly throughout Christian right circles.

Alice Dreger, a professor of medical humanities and bioethics at Northwestern University obviously knows quite a bit about the human body. So when she had the opportunity to sit in on her son’s high school “abstinence-only” education class she seized upon it as an eye-opening experience. It quickly turned into a rage inducing one as well.
Sitting in the back of her son’s class, Dreger live-tweeted the lessons the class was being taught. As one can imagine, the lesson plan was light on the “education” part of “sexual education” and very, very heavy on variations of the “sex is bad and you should be ashamed for having it” theme.
But they weren’t done. In case none of that worked, the abstinence teachers still had their nuclear option: Paper babies.

Meet Kai Kloepfer. This 18-year-old is on a quest, the quest for the safest handgun in the world. On the second installment of Uproxx’s Webby nominated series Luminaries, he outlines a solution which could make handguns a heck of a lot safer.
On a budget of $3,000, Kai developed and prototyped a smartgun fingerprint scanner able to store up to 999 users as authorized to use the firearm. He developed this in part with a grant from the Intel Corporation. He gave a TED Talk late last year discussing the use of biometric systems for gun safety, giving a demonstration of the technology involved.

Nor would they ask the richest people and businesses to spread their wealth, they would let them keep it accumulating it with less government oversight and public responsibilities.
Their bottom line is ripping up the domestic safety nets created by Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society initiatives and Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal. They imagine that the U.S. can bully its way to global supremacy like Teddy Roosevelt’s mythic big stick. If you think things are bad enough with the current Congress—trying to sabotage nuclear deals with Iran, block international agreements on climate change, repeal Obamacare, and again going after reproductive rights—imagine, as Cruz said, if he or any of these others were in the White House.

On Tuesday’s showing of CBS’ Late Night with David Letterman, the host took the opportunity to poke fun at the Republican presidential candidates by wondering which GOP candidate would be chosen to lead them to yet “another crushing defeat.”
Letterman opened the segment by showing an interview between Chuck Todd and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), where a bird is seen flying into Paul’s wavy hair and laying an egg before flying off. A group of federal researchers commissioned by the government to prove that cannabis has “no accepted medical use” may have unwittingly let information slip through the cracks, revealing how cannabis actually kills cancer cells.
The research, which was conducted by a team of scientists at St. George’s University of London, found that the two most common cannabinoids in marijuana, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), weakened the ferocity of cancer cells and made them more susceptible to radiation treatment, said Mike Adams of Herbal Dispatch.
The study, which was published last year in the medical journal Molecular Cancer Therapies, details the “dramatic reductions” in fatal variations of brain cancer when these specific cannabinoids were used in conjunction with radiation therapy.
“We’ve shown that cannabinoids could play a role in treating one of the most aggressive cancers in adults,”

In this video, the hypocritical, reactionary, and ever-changing opinions of the Republican media machine are put on full examination, which shows a montage of FOX pundits and GOP heavyweights like Karl Rove, Bill O’Reilly, Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity and Billy Kristol showering Hillary with praise and respect.
It’s a remarkable change in tone from the underhanded sexism and cheap shots at her credibility coming from the Republican mouthpiece these days. While it would be nice to believe this was how the right really felt, it honestly just goes to show that nothing FOX News or their affiliates say or do can be trusted or taken seriously. The GOP’s presidential candidates have already shown us that flip-flopping on the issue of the day is par for the course.

President Abraham Lincoln’s assassination is one of the saddest events in American history. Yet on the morning of April 14, 1865, the President awoke in an uncommonly good mood. One day less than a week before, on Palm Sunday, April 9, Robert E. Lee, the commander of what remained of the Confederate States’ Army, surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant, the commanding General of the Union. The truce reached at the Appomattox, Virginia, Court House signaled the end of the nation’s most destructive chapter, the Civil War.
To celebrate, Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln decided to attend the hit farce comedy “Our American Cousin,” which was playing at Ford’s Theatre. The Lincolns invited Gen. Grant and his wife to attend the play with them. At a cabinet meeting later that morning, however, Gen. Grant informed President Lincoln that they would not be able to join the first couple and, instead, would be visiting their children in New Jersey.Even more ominous, the ornery Secretary of War, Edwin Stanton, pleaded with the President not to go out that evening for fear of a potential assassination. Stanton was hardly the only presidential advisor against the outing. Mrs. Lincoln almost begged off, complaining of one of her all too frequent headaches. And even President Lincoln moaned about feeling exhausted as a result of his heavy presidential duties. Nevertheless, he insisted that an evening of comedy was just the tonic he and his wife required. Mr. Lincoln, confident that his bodyguards would protect him from any potential harm, shrugged off the warnings and invited Maj. Henry Rathbone and his finance, Clara Harris, to join them for a night at the theater.
