This is my normal head gear to stay warm. The mask really helps a lot in staying warm. It is 20 below zero and the wind was blowing 20 to 30 MPH! COLD - all day!

Actually I was watching Sunday morning today and all blue eyes people are derived from one person's dna I think 10,000 years ago. People use to have blue eyes every second person now it is one in 6, we have more brown eyes due to the dominance of the brown eyes and the changing population we now have. And most Alaskans and Indians have brown eyes
I've heard that A. Julie. Funny thing is that all our children are turning up blue-eyed. Even baby Rana is looking more and more blue (though she's too young to tell).
I remember that blue eyed Peace Corps volunteers in Zimbabwe were given a lot of attention and stared at a great deal because of the color of their eyes.
We, of course, were stared at for our height, not eyes.
Today, I had to go over to head start and work there for a bit. A gal came up and told me that I was wearing my hat backwards. (She said the Yupik name for hat, so I did not understand.) She showed me the hat and said I needed to turn it around.
OK, so I know brown eyes are dominant. I know this from years of science classes. However, I swear they are becoming dominant in the generation after me. All my nephs are blue, and SO many kids at EWEB (where I work) are blue. I'd bet its evolving.

The kids mentioned my eyes when I first started teaching here. Not many blue eyes in Emmonak I guess.
