I went for a walk to the airport last weekend. I ended up at the dump which is next to the airport. They burn the trash here. The bushes around the dump are littered with bags, plastic, cardboard, etc. I walked back on the Yukon River and took some great pictures of the sunrise. I tried to get shots without the trash. We have healthy crows and I saw 3 red foxes last weekend. The natives say some foxes have rabies. One final comment: We have lots of snow and ice: When it melts, how much litter will be seen?

Yeah, it is beautiful. Here those trees and bushes would be wearing plastic bags blowing in the wind.
