SEPSIS: Patty Duke died from it. Know what it is.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/patty-duke-death-sepsis-awareness_us_56faf2b6e4b0a06d5803ef31?

The signs of sepsis can be broken down in a simple acronym, notes the CDC.
S - Shivering, fever, or feeling very cold
E - Extreme pain or general discomfort, as in “worst ever”
P - Pale or discolored skin
S - Sleepy, difficult to wake up or confused
I - “I feel like I might die”
S - Shortness of breath
Once spotted, doctors treat sepsis by addressing the initial infection, supporting the body’s organs and preventing drops in blood pressure and oxygen levels. But time is of the essence when it comes to sepsis treatment. A 2006 study analyzing over 2,000 septic patients found that over six hours, each hour of a delay in treatment was linked to a 7.6 percent decrease in survival, but treatment within the first hour of a documented drop in blood pressure, a tell-tale sign of sepsis, was linked to an 80 percent survival rate.

Corporate Funding of GOP Convention is not going well

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/3/30/1508278/-Corporate-Sponsors-Freaking-Out-Over-Sponsoring-The-Republican-National-HateFest?detail=facebook

Corporate America is starting to freak out over the very thought of being associated with the mutant mayhem that’s going to to explode in Cleveland when the Republican National Convention kicks into gear.
Apple, Google, Walmart and Coca-Cola, among others, have suddenly realized it may not be good for business to be seen sponsoring the guy who wants to forcibly round up and deport brown people and  “punish” women for seeking abortions, or the guy who wants to send his armed patrols into “Muslim neighborhoods,” or any of the other bright lights in the Republican Party whose entire  platform is built on a foundation of bigotry, misogyny and gun-toting hatred. They’ve belatedly concluded that yes, that groovy iPhone 7 with no real interesting new features can easily and quickly be replaced with the Samsung Edge; Kohl’s and Target sell cheap Chinese-made clothing just like WalMart; and people are really just as happy drinking Pepsi as Coke, if they associate those other products with a commercial or banner they saw in a Quicken Loans arena filled with folks frothing at the mouth and hooting with delight over every veiled and not-so-veiled jab at women, African-Americans and Hispanics:
The pressure is emerging as some businesses and trade groups are already privately debating whether to scale back their participation, according to interviews with more than a dozen lobbyists, consultants and fund-raisers directly involved in the conversations.

100 yard holes open up in Siberia: Climate Change and Methane are the cause

http://www.businessinsider.com/solved-mystery-siberian-craters-climate-change-2016-3?r=US&IR=T

It is a short video that explains the methane under the Permafrost and as the Permafrost melted because of warming weather the pressure blew the ice and permafrost to open up the holes.  It is a scary look at the future.  As the ice melts and water/ air warms - more methane goes into the atmosphere.

Donald Trump is DANGEROUS to Women.

http://www.alternet.org/gender/donald-trump-dangerous-women?akid=14123.294211.LOVrmx&rd=1&src=newsletter1053591&t=2

There is perhaps no one in recent American political history who has outdone expectations as drastically as Donald Trump.
I do not mean this as a compliment. What I mean is that even as we have come to expect Donald Trump to say and be the absolute worst—to burrow beneath what previously seemed to be the garbage-strewn bottom—he continues to unashamedly dive to once unthinkable depths, outdistancing even the scavengers and bottom-feeders who preceded him.
An example of this occurred on Wednesday, when Trump stated that as president he would seek not only to ban abortions, but also to ensure that women who illegally obtained them would have to face "some kind of punishment." Perhaps because the notion of criminalizing abortion and then exacting some kind of twisted revenge on women goes beyond even the rhetoric of the far-right anti-choice crowd, interviewer Chris Matthews gave Trump a chance to clarify his remarks.
“For the woman?” Matthews asked, being nothing if not specific.
“Yeah. There has to be some form [of punishment],” Trump replied.
This is a man who has built his political—and if we go back even further, his public—brand on sexualizing, degrading, insulting and vocally and enthusiastically hating women. He makes jokes about newswomen being on their periods, about a fellow candidate’s wife being ugly. He has said countless terrible things about many, many prominent women. And in kind, his supporters dedicate time at rallies to violently shoving teenage girls; to allegedly groping and macing them in the face. Even his campaign manager allegedly physically attacked a woman reporter for doing her job.
And yet, Trump still finds a way to be worse, to keep digging beyond this.

VOTING SCAM WISCONSIN: The changes in voting REQUIRES an EDUCATION CAMPAIGN to understand the changes but THEY REFUSE TO FUND IT!

https://www.propublica.org/article/wisconsin-voter-id-law-education-campaign-state-hasnt-funded

The Voting Changes in Wisconsin are simply a means to stop people from voting. (Those who would vote for a Democrat.)

On April 5, when voters cast ballots in Wisconsin’s Republican and Democratic primaries, the state’s controversial voter ID bill will face its biggest test since Governor Scott Walker signed it into law in 2011. For the first time in a major election, citizens will be required to show approved forms of identification in order to vote. The law mandates that the state run a public-service campaign “in conjunction with the first regularly scheduled primary and election” to educate voters on what forms of ID are acceptable.
But Wisconsin has failed to appropriate funds for the public education campaign. The result is that thousands of citizens may be turned away from the polls simply because they did not understand what form of identification they needed to vote.
Wisconsin’s failure to fund these public-service ads comes after a clash between the Government Accountability Board, the nonpartisan agency responsible for producing voter education materials, and the Republican-controlled legislature. In October, the agency met with Republican State Senator Mary Lazich, who was a primary sponsor of the voter ID bill in 2011, to inquire after funding and received a tepid response.
The board told Lazich that it would need $300,000 to $500,000 from the state legislature to broadcast advertisements. The legislature had twice appropriated money for public information campaigns during the 2012 and 2014 election cycles, but the ads barely hit the airwaves before court injunctions delayed the law from going into effect.
According to Kevin Kennedy, the board’s director and general counsel, Lazich thanked the board for the information, but didn’t make any promises. Lazich did not respond to requests for comment from ProPublica.
After the meeting, the Government Accountability Board decided against making a formal funding request to the legislature, which had already introduced a bill to dismantle the agency.

7 things Americans think are more plausible than Man Made Global Warming

http://www.salon.com/2014/12/20/7_things_americans_think_are_more_plausible_than_global_warming_partner/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=socialflow

More by following the link:

Roughly 73 percent of Americans believe Jesus was born of a virgin, while only 61 percent believe the Earth’s temperature has been warming. Even worse, only 40 percent of the Americans who concede that climate change is happening will admit that it’s primarily due to man-made activity.
For context, let’s compare those polling figures with something Americans are more likely to believe than man-made climate change.
1) 77 percent of Americans believe in angels.
Not only did this AP/GFK poll in 2011 find that more than three out of four Americans believed angels literally exist, but so do more than four out of 10 of those who never attend religious services. A poll taken five years earlier found that 81 percent of Americans believe in angels, essentially meaning the number had gone unchanged.
2) 55 percent of Americans believe that the Founding Fathers established this country as a Christian nation in the Constitution.
In a similar vein, this figure comes from a First Amendment Center survey taken in 2007. I’m sure these Americans would be fascinated to read Thomas Jefferson’s rewriting of the New Testament, which he felt perfected Jesus Christ’s teachings by removing all theological and supernatural elements from his life story. Lest there remain any doubt, we can return to the subject of angels as we review Jefferson’s letter to John Adams opining that “to talk of immaterial existences is to talk of nothings.” Jefferson continued, “To say that the human soul, angels, God, are immaterial, is to say they are nothings, or that there is no God, no angels, no soul. I cannot reason otherwise.”
3) 1 in 4 Americans believe the sun revolves around the Earth.
This comes from a National Science Foundation study conducted earlier this year. Before you accuse me of including a statistic that doesn’t belong on this list—as this statistic and the figure for man-made climate change are, sadly, only fifteen points apart—bear in mind that, whereas evolution and the Big Bang theory are relatively new to our collective consciousness, Copernicus and Galileo cracked our solar system’s biggest secret roughly five centuries ago. It would be no less ludicrous for one in four Americans to believe that the Earth is flat.
4) Only 60 percent of Americans believe in evolution.

TRUMP: The NY Times Interview show Trump to be dangerous to the US

http://www.alternet.org/election-2016/dissecting-donald-trumps-terrifying-interview-ny-times?akid=14120.294211.leh92b&rd=1&src=newsletter1053463&t=6

Donald Trump managed to shock the world once again. Last week, he actually sank so low that he publicly attacked Ted Cruz’s wife Heidi’s looks. Not that anyone thought he wasn’t the type to say such rude things. He’s made a habit of it for many years. But he is running for president and, more importantly, he did this during a period when all eyes were on Europe in the wake of another devastating terrorist attack, and he was simultaneously criticizing the president for continuing on his historic diplomatic mission to Cuba and Argentina. But that wasn’t what shocked the world. What has put every government on the planet on high alert was his alarming interview in the New York Times on the subject of foreign policy.
We already had some inkling of his general incomprehension in this regard throughout the campaign as he cavalierly talked about torture, the banning of Muslims, and “bombing the shit out of” our supposed enemies. I wrote previously about his bizarre trek to the the capitol to speak with the Washington Post and AIPAC earlier last week. But as MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell said on his show Monday night, the interview in the Times over the weekend was “like taking a world tour of Donald Trump’s ignorance.”
Trump spoke with reporters David Sanger and Maggie Habermann on the telephone for over 90 minutes and on virtually every question they asked he was clearly vamping like a 12-year-old giving the book report on a book he hadn’t read. Romney spokesman Kevin Madden characterized the transcript of the interview as being “just full of tautological nonsense.”

IF GOP WIN IN NOV; 10 Nightmarish Scenarios which can result

http://www.forwardprogressives.com/10-nightmarish-scenarios-count-happening-republicans-win-november/

Do both parties have flaws? Of course they do. But if you really think Democrats and Republicans are no different, or that a Republican winning this November wouldn’t be catastrophic, you might want to rethink everything you think you know about politics. In fact, here are 10 terrible things that will almost certainly happen if Donald Trump, Ted Cruz or another Republican becomes our next president. 1. Conservatives will get a super majority on the Supreme Court: We already know one Supreme Court opening is potentially up for grabs this November. Well, up to three more might be opening up over the next 4-8 years. Most notably, the liberal Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg who’s 83 and Stephen Breyer who’s 77. Then there’s fairly moderate conservative Justice Anthony Kennedy who’s 79. So, unless these three are serving until their mid to late 80’s, at least a couple are probably going to be replaced… very soon. Two who represent half the liberal justices on the Court. What do you think the Court looks like with a Republican potentially selecting 3-4 justices? Say goodbye to gay rights, voting rights, women’s rights and any possible dream of ever getting money out of politics. The next president may very well determine the fate of the Supreme Court for an entire generation. Which means if a Republican becomes president (especially someone like Ted Cruz) we’re likely looking at a Court with 3-4 new “Antonin Scalia-type” justices being put in place for the next 20-30 years. If that doesn’t terrify you, it should. 2. Net neutrality is likely dead: Remember when big business was trying to install a “fast lane” for the Internet? Well, thankfully, the Obama administration put an end to that – sort of. A Republican president could very well undo these protections for fair access to the Internet, allowing the free flow of information to be severely hampered, limited and restricted unless companies pay these Internet providers what essentially equates to “ransoms” for full-speed access. In other words, if you’re paying for 50 mbps speeds, you might not get those speeds to some of your favorite sites that refuse to pay these fees being charged by corporations like AT&T, Time Warner or Comcast. 3. Say goodbye to health care: It took us decades to get the modest health care reform known as the Affordable Care Act. All that work will be long gone if a Republican becomes president. Instantly, millions of Americans would lose their health insurance (most of whom are poor) and those with pre-existing conditions would go back to living a life where they could be denied coverage based on something with which they were born. 4. The Iran nuclear deal is history: For the first time in a long time we have a president who sees diplomacy as something he exhausts before taking the step toward war. While the deal with Iran may ultimately prove to be nothing – it’s a start. Of course there’s still a long way to go, but trying to work out even contentious diplomacy with an adversary is a hell of a lot better than the path that will almost certainly take us into another war. A war that will make the chaos that we’ve seen in Iraq look like child’s play. When you mess with Iran, you’re also stepping on the toes of China, Russia and threatening to disrupt the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz – a seaway through which a huge chunk of the world’s oil exports travel. 5. We’ll set combating climate change back decades: Even with the advancements we’ve made, we’re already years (if not decades) behind where we need to be as it relates to battling climate change. If a Republican wins the White House in November, not only will absolutely nothing get accomplished as it relates to stepping up our effort to prevent the planet from becoming uninhabitable, they will undo nearly all the progress we have made. Which means we won’t only be setting ourselves back 4-8 years – we’ll be setting ourselves back decades. Considering the dire issue of climate change at this moment, that would pretty much screw the planet beyond repair. 6. It’s very likely abortion becomes illegal:

Sovereign Citizen goes in front of a judge - He does not do too well.

http://wonkette.com/600135/florida-judge-lols-at-sovereign-citizen-idiot

David Hall, a Sovereign Florida Man who got his day in court back in December 2014, has for some reason been rediscovered by the Internet in the last week, after this video of his appearance before Broward County Judge John “Jay” Hurley was reposted a few days ago by a funny-videos aggregator. Beyond demonstrating that nothing on the internet ever goes away, it’s an impressive performance by Judge Hurley, who has clearly seen it all, and is not at all swayed by Sovereign Citizen linguistic gymnastics. It’s a little like watching an old episode of Night Court, even though we really miss Bull. Fortunately, the defendant provides plenty of that all on his own.
First, Hall has to clarify whether Judge Hurley is even a judge, because for Sovereign Citizen Language Magic to work, you have to perform all the rituals correctly:

Susan Sarandon loves Bernie: She might choose Trump over Hillary - HOW CRAZY CAN YOU GET.

Susan Sarandon says she might vote for Trump over Hillary (if Bernie does not get the nomination.)  I think it is crazy.  Trump wants a 15% TAX CUT for the 1% which will destroy our economy.  SARANDON TYPE OF THINKING IS NUTS.

MORMON RULES: DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PRIVATE PARTS! A list of Mormon rules.

http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/2016/03/the-mormons-have-some-words-for-you.html

Follow the Link for More.

A Guide to Self-Control

  1. Never touch the intimate parts of your body except during normal toilet processes. Avoid being alone as much as possible. Find good company and stay in this good company. (Ah so that's why Mormons are always found in groups.)
  2. If you are associated with other persons having this same problem, you must break off their friendship. Never associate with other people having the same weakness. Don't suppose that two of you will quit together, you never will. You must get away from people of that kind. Just to be in their presence will keep your problem foremost in your mind. The problem must be taken out of your mind for that is where it really exists. Your mind must be on other and more wholesome things.
  3. When you bathe, do not admire yourself in a mirror. Never stay in the bath more than five or six minutes -- just long enough to bathe and dry and dress and then get out of the bathroom into a room where you will have some member of your family present.(That explains why the Mormons have such small water bills.)
  4. When in bed, if that is where you have your problem for the most part, dress yourself for the night so securely that you cannot easily touch your vital parts, and so that it would be difficult and time consuming for you to remove those clothes. (Aha! THAT'S where the magic underwear comes in!) By the time you started to remove protective clothing you would have sufficiently controlled your thinking that the temptation would leave you.
  5. If the temptation seems overpowering while you are in bed, get out of bed and go into the kitchen and fix yourself a snack, even if it is in the middle of the night, and even if you are not hungry, and despite your fears of gaining weight. The purpose behind this suggestion is that you get your mind on something else. You are the subject of your thoughts, so to speak.

TRUMP: Andrea Mitchell says Trump is 'Uneducated about any part of the world.'

http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/2016/03/andrea-mitchell-on-donald-trump-he-is.html

This was said on national TV.

Andrea Mitchell was not the only journalist to express shock at Trump's lack of knowledge concerning world affairs, here is how Eugene Robinson responded to that Washington Post interview:

Donald Trump’s ignorance of government policy, both foreign and domestic, is breathtaking. The Republican Party is likely to nominate for president a man who appears to know next to nothing about the issues that would confront him in the job.

Here is the transcript of the interview, just in case you think these journalists are exaggerating. But I warn you, some of your brain cells may not survive the experience.

US Boots on the ground in Iraq again.

http://www.alternet.org/world/us-military-back-battlefield-iraq?akid=14116.294211.8B2vXu&rd=1&src=newsletter1053473&t=16

The U.S. Military Is Back on the Battlefield in Iraq

The U.S. public may not have known that their soldiers were back in Iraq defending a fire base, but ISIS certainly had observed the arrival.

was suddenly announced last week that the Iraqi army was taking territory from Islamic State forces in what was presented as the first steps in an offensive to recapture the city of Mosul. It sounded as if the self-declared Caliphate was crumbling and was particularly welcome news since it coincided with the Isis suicide bombings in Brussels. The message was that Isis might be able to slaughter civilians in Europe, but was being defeated on its home turf in Iraq and Syria.
I was particularly interested in the attack because two months ago I had been with the Iraqi Kurdish Peshmerga in Makhmour, the town in the front line between Mosul and the Kurdish capital Erbil, where the offensive by the 15th Division of the Iraqi Army was said to have taken place. At that time, local Kurdish commanders said that there was little fighting and they did not expect an offensive to recapture Mosul, which Isis had captured in June 2014, to happen any time soon.

16 GOP Senators talking to the Supreme Court Nominee

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2016/03/29/mitch-mcconnell-just-got-screwed-by-his-own-party-16-gop-senators-defect-on-scotus-blockade/

According to a report from NBC , there are at least 16 Republican senators who have taken Mitch McConnell’s directive to obstruct at even the common courtesy level and tossed it in the garbage where it belongs. Some are Republicans up for re-election in Blue States, like Kelly Ayotte from New Hampshire and Mark Kirk from Illinois, who will be the first to openly defy McConnell when he meets with Merrick Tuesday. Others are Republicans from red states who understand that it’s better to allow the process to happen rather than prove to the American people that Republicans are incapable of governing effectively.
Even with the moderates like Susan Collins of Maine and Jerry Moran of Kansas advocating for full hearings, the likelihood that Merrick would actually be confirmed is nearly non-existent, but that’s not keeping GOP strategists from insisting that holding a hearing would seem much less obstructionist and rude. John Kasich, the last establishment candidate left for the GOP, has also said that Merrick Garland, at least, deserves the respect of a hearing. The man was, after all, nominated to fill a seat on the highest court ion the land by the President of the United States.
That’s the problem, though, isn’t it? It’s not that he was nominated, it’s who nominated him. Republicans have become as predictable as they are reprehensible.

Lots more if you follow the link.

Even Trump’s most trusted advisors didn’t expect him to fare this well. Almost a year ago, recruited for my public relations and public policy expertise, I sat in Trump Tower being told that the goal was to get The Donald to poll in double digits and come in second in delegate count. That was it. The Trump camp would have been satisfied to see him polling at 12% and taking second place to a candidate who might hold 50%. His candidacy was a protest candidacy.
It pains me to say, but he is the presidential equivalent of Sanjaya onAmerican Idol. President Trump would be President Sanjaya in terms of legitimacy and authority. And I am now taking full responsibility for helping create this monster — and reaching out directly to those voters who, like me, wanted Trump to be the real deal.
My support for Trump began probably like yours did. Similar to so many other Americans, I was tired of the rhetoric in Washington. Negativity and stubbornness were at an all-time high, and the presidential prospects didn’t look promising.
In 2015, I fell in love with the idea of the protest candidate who was not bought by corporations. A man who sat in a Manhattan high-rise he had built, making waves as a straight talker with a business background, full of successes and failures, who wanted America to return to greatness.
I was sold. Last summer, I signed on as the Communications Director of the Make America Great Again Super PAC. It was still early in the Trump campaign, and we hit the ground running. His biggest competitor had more than $100 million in a Super PAC. The Jeb Bush deep pockets looked to be the biggest obstacle we faced. We seemed to be up against a steep challenge, especially since a big part of the appeal of a Trump candidacy was not being influenced by PAC money.
After the first debate, I was more anxious than ever to support Trump. The exchange with Megyn Kelly was like manna from heaven for a communications director. She appeared like yet another reporter trying to kick out the guest who wasn’t invited to the party. At the time, I felt excited for the change to the debate he could bring. I began realizing the man really resonates with the masses and would bring people to the process who had never participated before.
That was inspiring to me. It wasn’t long before every day I awoke to a buzzing phone and a shaking head because Trump had said something politically incorrect the night before. I have been around politics long enough to know that the other side will pounce on any and every opportunity to smear a candidate.

Cougar caught in a trap - let loose by Fish and Game Officers

Utah Officers Bravely Help Free Cougar From Trap

When Utah conservation officers heard that there was a cougar caught in a trap, they were determined to help. Although it would be a dangerous mission - the men were prepared to do all that they could to free the poor animal. Get ready for your heart to skip a beat, because this is pretty frightening to watch!

There are a lot of people who put their lives on the line everyday to help others. And amazingly, some even do so for animals. One example of these heroes are the wildlife conservation officers in Utah, who help rescue animals in their parks. However, it's not to say that it's not a little scary doing so. As they say in the video, "One of those things that feels like the "first time" every time. Releasing a lion from a trap with catchpoles."

In the video, we see a cougar on a mountain top with his arm stuck in a trap. As the officers try to help him, he hisses and squirms at them. It's probably a good thing that he couldn't move at the time - because the men would be in danger if so! Be sure to watch to see how the rescue mission takes place. It's truly one that gives you chills!

#2 ISIL Leader Killed Last Week - Obama gets another one or two or three

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/03/25/official-carter-to-announce-killing-senior-isis-leader.html

Obama is picking off ISIL Leaders one by one.

When a U.S. special operations team suddenly surrounded the car carrying the Islamic State's second in command, he was given the split-second option of surrendering. Instead, he began firing.
"He made a bad choice," a senior military source told Fox News.
Abd al-Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli, also known as Abu Ala al-Afri and Haji Imam, died in a hail of bullets early Thursday morning on an isolated road in eastern Syria, a location described by U.S. military officials as being "in the middle of nowhere."
Defense Secretary Ash Carter told a press conference Friday he was ISIS' finance minister. But the terror leader also was considered the man most likely to take over for ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, if he were captured or killed.
Details of the takedown emerged Friday, including descriptions of the elite U.S. assault force arriving in helicopters as drones flew overhead, tracking him.
When al-Afri refused to surrender, he and all those with him were killed. If he had been captured, he would have been interrogated and then handed over to Iraqi authorities.
The U.S. team had been practicing the mission for weeks. "It was a really good mission," one source familiar with the developments told Fox News. "It was precision and went as planned."

Media push GOP Social Security LIES - WHY? The GOP plans will destroy SS and Medicare: RAISE THE CAP should be part of the discussion

Republican Lies About Social Security Debunked Again: So Why Does Mainstream Media Keep Repeating Them?

It is not going broke. All GOP alternates are worse.
  • Social Security is NOT going bankrupt
  • Social Security will continue to exist in perpetuity (unless Republicans succeed in repealing or undermining it)
  • Social Security will continue to provide a modest but essential retirement income for all Americans, long after Baby Boomers have met their maker
  • The path of the economy will determine the size of future Social Security benefits, and finally
  • Any of the alternatives to Social Security would be worse for young people than keeping the current system.
Before describing some recent examples of Republicans’ dishonest attacks on Social Security, and the press’s uncritical acceptance of those attacks, it is essential to understand exactly what we know about the future of Social Security. In particular, we need to debunk certain hoary myths about the Social Security trust fund.

A Bundy OR Domestic Terrorist files for bankruptcy

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/03/patriot-leader-who-backed-ore-militants-files-third-bankruptcy-since-2001-and-still-owes-child-support/

The leader of an Idaho patriot group who took time out from his property management business to provide armed support for the ill-fated Oregon occupiers has filed bankruptcy for the third time since 2001, leaving a trail of debts and clients who hired him looking for rent money collected on their behalf.
Brandon Curtiss, the founder of III% Idaho — a militia movement whose credo is “When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes mandatory” — filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection just three weeks after he helped provide armed patrols at the Bundy-led occupation of the Malheur bird sanctuary.
According to the Idaho Statesman, Curtiss and his wife listed debts of $235,000, and assets of only $13,230. Court documents show the couple owe $186,286 in credit card debt, collection agency charges and bank loans accumulated 2013 and 2015, as well as previous debts including $1,800 in child support that Curtiss owes dating back to 1992.
Curtiss also filed bankruptcy in 2009 listing debts of $140,000 and before that in 2001, with those numbers no longer available.
Some of the former Idaho cop’s assets are protected since they are listed under his property management firm, but there is trouble there too, with clients suing him for collecting rent from tenants and then keeping the money.
Aaron and Leslie Boyce of Portland,  hired Curtiss in March 2013 to manage two 4-plex apartment buildings they own, however remittances to them soon started coming up short and they discovered Curtiss was keeping late fees from tenants.
Six months later, Curtiss failed to remit any money — with the couple finally getting a portion — only to have Curtiss continued to collect rent after they fired him.  (They never got a dime from him.)

5 Things Science Says Will Make You Happier

Happy people are healthier, make more money, and live longer. Thankfully researchers say it’s something we can cultivate with practice. Here’s how.

Elizabeth Warren talks about the GOP blocking the Supreme Court Nominee

Just watch and listen, she is amazing.

GOP Paul Ryan: Gifter for the 1%. Taking every chance to give richest more tax breaks and taking away from the middle class.

http://www.salon.com/2016/03/28/paul_ryan_is_still_a_grifter_the_gop_has_become_a_tax_avoidance_scam_for_the_1_percent/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=socialflow

Kansas and Louisiana have trickled down and have ruined economies.  The approach DOES NOT WORK but they insist on taking from the middle class and poor to make the rich richer.

The modern Republican Party has devolved into a tax avoidance scam for rich people. The scam is a masterpiece of psychological manipulation, in which the racial, cultural and economic anxieties of (mostly white) voters are exploited, in order to get those voters to support policies that transfer ever-greater percentages of wealth from themselves to the top 0.1 percent.
It really isn’t any more complicated than that. Everything else – the “culture wars,” the continual hysteria about terrorism, the non-stop rhetoric about how the mainstream media, the universities, the scientists, and basically the rest of the modern world are all biased against conservatives – it’s all just so much noise, designed to solve the tricky problem of how to get ordinary people to support economic policies that make them poorer and rich people richer.
You couldn’t come up with a better illustration of this principle than the ongoing GOP campaign to eliminate the estate tax. Last year the House voted to get rid of it, and a majority of Republican senators have pledged to do the same.
The Republican propaganda machine has waged a multi-decade war against the estate tax, which it has rebranded the “death tax.” Because of these efforts, the tax has been watered down to the point where, under current law, only a tiny group of wealthy people will ever pay any estate taxes at all.

Supreme Court Nomination: GOP getting beat up NATION WIDE for refusal to hold hearings. ((Local media and newspapers say it is dumb.

DO YOUR JOB is the message which people in local towns are saying.

Papers are also consistently pointing out that Republican supported Garland in the past,  “As the pressure builds at home, Kansas Senator Jerry Moran is the latest GOP member to break with the party’s blockade. The newspapers also point out that many Senate Republicans have supported the highly-qualified and respected Judge Garland in the past and that many Senate Republicans have already broken with their party and will meet with the nominee. ”

Samantha Bee on: Women MUST ALLOW RAPISTS TO SEE THE CHILD in many states

http://www.takepart.com/article/2015/04/10/daily-show-parental-rights-rapists

As if suffering the trauma of sexual assault weren’t a horrific enough burden for the roughly 293,000 women raped each year in the U.S., the women impregnated as a result may be forced to spend additional time with their attackers. In nearly 20 states, a victim may have to face her assailant again, long after a criminal trial has passed, during a custody battle.
No national law exists to protect women from sharing custody with their rapists—a fact that The Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee had trouble stomaching without stopping for intermittent snuggles with cuddly animals.
“If you are the victim of rape and you conceive a child, then you should be able to terminate your rapist’s parental rights,” U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., told Bee on Wednesday night’s episode.
Wasserman Schultz attempted to remedy this injustice with the Rape Survivor Child Custody Act in 2013. Despite bipartisan support, from both anti- and pro-choice groups, the bill did not even receive a hearing. That’s because it included $25 million spent over five years to grease the wheels with states by monetarily incentivizing them to alter their individual constitutions with an amendment allowing women to terminate rapists’ custodial rights.
Wasserman Schultz hasn’t given up, and she’s confident that her newest version of the bill, assigned to a congressional committee in March, has a better shot at passing.
What Bee can’t comprehend is why a relatively small amount of money—by government standards—prevents protecting survivors and their children, or why states need money to make the change in the first place.

NYPD Police Commissioner says TED CRUZ is wrong and dangerous with Muslim Talk and counter terrorism

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2016/03/27/nypd-commissioner-obliterates-ted-cruzs-fictional-knowledge-of-counterterrorism/

In an op-ed that puts to rest any notion that Ted Cruz knows what he’s talking about when it comes to terrorism and national security, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton did not hold back.
In the wake of the ISIS attack on Brussels, the Texas Senator went on camera to call for mass surveillance of Muslims in communities across the country as well as increased police patrols in those neighborhoods. Because spying on and treating Muslims like criminals is going to somehow prevent them from radicalizing.
Not so, says Bratton, who wrote in his op-ed in New York Daily News that what Cruz believes about Muslims is “fiction” and that the outcome he seeks is a “fairy tale.”
“Recently, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz called for police to “patrol and secure Muslim communities before they become radicalized.” We already patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods, the same way we patrol and secure other neighborhoods,” Bratton wrote.
We do not “patrol and secure” neighborhoods based on selective enforcement because of race or religion, nor will we use the police and an occupying force to intimidate a populace or a religion to appease the provocative chatter of politicians seeking to exploit fear.
Nor will we accept the fiction of Sen. Cruz’s narrative as presented. Cruz repeated the false reports surrounding the NYPD Demographics Unit and my decision to abolish it because it wasn’t serving any useful purpose. He tried to depict the demise of the unit, as other ill-informed observers have done, as a knuckling under to the forces of political correctness rather than the sensible administrative decision that it was. The fact is that the former administration had allowed the unit to dwindle down to two investigators. Why? Because the work of the unit, which was to map the ethnic makeup of the city to better understand the domain of the New York metropolitan area, was finished. The two remaining detectives simply had little to do.
Bratton then dropped the hammer on Cruz.
“It is clear from his comments that Sen. Cruz knows absolutely nothing about counterterrorism in New York City. We have in this city, without a doubt, the most effective and extensive counterterrorism capacity of any city in this country and virtually any city in the world.”
Bratton went on to literally list the taskforces that work hard to provide counterterrorism for New York City, including the Joint-Terrorism Task Force with the FBI, Critical Response Command, NYPD Counterterrorism Bureau, NYPD Intelligence Bureau, and the NYPD Domain Awareness System.
In the end, Bratton explained that over 900 police officers under his command are Muslims who work hard to keep the city and their own families safe from terrorists every day and schooled Cruz on the Constitution before cautioning him to actually do some damn research before opening his mouth again.

Obama blew up LOTS OF ISIS CASH - GOP said nothing

http://winningdemocrats.com/obama-blew-up-entire-building-full-of-isis-cash-gop-is-completely-silent-video/

In an operation that might have done more damage than bombing a building full of fighters, U.S. forces dropped bombs on a building in Mosul, Iraq that was working as a cash repository for ISIS. Intelligence showed that there were millions stored in the building, all of which are now toast.
Two 2,000 pound bombs completely leveled the place, and this one act cut off a great deal of funding from ISIS’s war effort. The U.S. intends to focus on more financial targets in an effort to destabilize ISIS’s ability to function as a “state” and break them economically.

YET AGAIN, OBAMA PROVES HOW SOFT HE IS ON TERROR BY WORKING TO BANKRUPT ISIS WHILE AVOIDING A GROUND INVASION. REPUBLICANS ARE LIKELY FURIOUS NO AMERICANS DIED.

The cash bombing and increase in hitting economic targets, rather than military ones, follows up on recent attacks by the U.S. on ISIS oil supply lines.
The strike in Mosul was considered extremely risky, due to large amounts of civilians in the area. U.S. intelligence monitored the target and found a time where there were only ISIS individuals at the compound, and that is when they struck.
