Portland, Detroit, WA DC, Tampa, New Orleans, Dallas, El Paso and tomorrow Phoenix.

I have been traveling since Jan 13.  I flew from Portland to the Detroit area and spent two nights there with friends.  I picked up a car and then drove to WA DC and checked out the Holocaust Museum, American Indian Museum where I found the Jim Pepper exhibit.   I went to the Air and Space Museum.  I was going to the other Smithsonians but it started to snow so I had to pass.  I wanted to go to the Ford Theater to get the story on President Lincoln's death but I could not find parking and left.

I then drove all night to Tampa and spent a night at my cousins.  We saw hundreds of Manatees which was awesome.

I then drove to New Orleans and spent an evening at Bourbon Street.  There were many bands and one back in particular was amazing.

I then drove through NOLA and saw the fine mansions as well as the Brad Pitt house area where many people died when their homes were flooded.  A levy on the Mississippi river broke and the water was higher than the houses so people drowned.

Brad Pitt Build houses on stilts with solar panels for people to live in and I was able to drive by those.

I then drove through Louisiana and saw lots of swamps.  I made it to Dallas and ate dinner and rested a bit.  I drove most of the night to get through Texas.  I got to El Paso and could not get to Phoenix until 10 PM  and I don't want to bug my daughter and her family too late.  I got a room and will spend the night here in El Paso.

I am tired.
