North Korea is in Donald Trump’s eyesight, and he is playing chicken with an unpredictable Kim Jong-un. The president of this small nation not only pipes anti-American propaganda into his people’s homes to generate hatred against America, he has amassed a huge military. Then, there is the really bad foreign policy news.
Early Tuesday morning, Trump made international news with his latest tweet:
‘North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A.’
Nations less than friendly with the U.S. traditionally test every new president who walks into office. Kim Jong-un did, too, but his missile launches come with the threat of nuclear war. As Trump verbally duels with this warlike nation, he is dealing with a man who may have killed his own half-brother.
It is within possibility the North Korean president would make good on his threats.
China’s president had just visited Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort weekend. Trump tried to use his self-acclaimed deal-making skills to woo China’s Xi Jinping. However, it may not have gone well.
