Police in North Carolina are seriously considering filing charges against Donald Trump for “inciting a riot” at his recent rally in Fayetteville, where supporter John Franklin McGraw punched a protester, leaving him bloody before threatening to kill him “next time.” This comes just a few days after his Chicago rally was cancelled after fightsbetween supporters and protesters broke out.
“We are looking at the totality of these circumstances, including any additional charges against Mr. McGraw, including the potential of whether there was conduct on the part of Mr. Trump or the Trump campaign which rose to the level of inciting a riot.”
It’s very likely that they will find evidence that the Trump campaign was guilty of inciting a riot, because there is a very extensive record of Trump telling his supporters to beat up protesters.
At that very same rally: “Can’t we have a little more action than this? See, in the good old days this didn’t use to happen, because they used to treat them very rough. We’ve become very weak. The audience hit back. That’s what we need a little bit more of.”
