Following on the heels of Donald Trump’s disastrous statements involving David Duke and white supremacists on Monday, statements that even the “Teflon Don” might not be able to walk away from unscathed, even the most Trump friendly media outlets are having a hard time justifying Trump’s blatant rhetoric and lies.
From Morning Joe host and Donald Trump fanboy, Joe Scarborough, to Republican Speaker of The House, Paul Ryan, it seems the Trump train is having a hard time finding a welcoming station to pull into.
Among the many voices chiding Trump for his despicable defense of the recent endorsement he received from former Klu Klux Klan leader David Duke, is perhaps America’s most well-known and beloved political satirist Stephen Colbert. On the “Late Show” this week, Colbert pulled no punches pointing out Trump’s weak and ridiculous explanation for not immediately disavowing any endorsement from the racist Duke.
