This evening, I will be out in my village.

I have my final day in Barrow, AK and will fly with 9 others to Point Hope, AK.  I will move into my apartment and see what the new village looks like.  It is on the Chukchi Sea and people who I talk to say it is quite beautiful..

Yesterday afternoon I was in a place where people Inuits have had people living since at least 500 AD.  It is expected to be longer but the mounds where people lived are now under water so they cannot get to the artifacts to carbon date them.

We had a beautiful sunrise this morning.  There is really no night.  It is light all the time.

Curtains help to shut out the light.  I did get up in the middle of the night and opened the curtain and it was light outside.
