Caribou is being found in Pt Hope

I was just talking to some folks and people are hunting to get ready for winter.  Some fellows went out recently and got 7 caribou.

The Salmon berries in the hills around here are amazing I am told.  They sell for 100 for a quart if you get them.  I don't have a 4 wheeler or I would be out berry picking.

There is not much growth in town.  Pt Hope is on a slice of land right on the Chukchi Sea.  It is flat just 50 feet above sea level.  We have no hills or mountains which I can see.  I am told you hve to go 7 miles.

I was just told the electricity will be turned off soon so I will be off line soon.

I have no propane to cook yet.  My tank is empty.  My toilet plugged yesterday and I just got a plunger - hooray.  I finally brought my coffee to school today and made coffee at school.  Then the Principal brought me a cup of coffee.

People really are helpful here.  I told the Janitor I did not have a can opener so he loaned me one until mine gets here from the lower 48.
