If you were to take a street poll, just walk around and ask people you come across, about how they feel about the economy, many would tell you that they still feel like they like the economy is in a recession. Here’s why.
Throughout a large portion of America’s financial history, economic gains were distributed more heavily among the bottom 90 percent of the population. That was until the 1980’s.
Something changed in the 1980’s (Reagan). Policy started its shift to benefiting the top earners and marginalizing the common worker. Since then, the majority of economic gains have gone to the top 10% of earners.
