FIRE DRILL AT ZERO DEGREES

It is the end of the month and TIME FOR A FIRE DRILL! It is zero degrees outside and we have 5 foot snow drifts outside the door the Elementary kids have to go out.

With a fire drill - you go outside, fast. No coats, no snow gear, no snow boots that kids have in their locker.

We had the whole Elementary stacked up at the door because of the snow drift and no shovel.

We stuck our head and the door and then went back in.

Hahahahahahaha. Why the no coats rule? That seems silly.

In a fire situation, you drop everything and go outside. If people got coats, they would have to go to their lockers and get a coat and we just need to get out.

Well, I have an idea. On the days of the fire drill, can't you let the kids go get their coats like 30 min prior to the drill and keep them at their seats so they don't have to freeze their little buns off?

Well, Ashley, that would take all the fun out of the drill, now wouldn't it?

Duh, Ash. In a fire they don't need coats, cause the burning building would provide some heat! :-)
