On the heels of an unhinged tweetstorm in which Trump both congratulated himself on his crowd size at a rally in Ohio and then instituted a draconian transgender ban in the United States Armed Forces, the President had the temerity to then appeal to his “faith” in a pandering tweet on Twitter.
It did not take long for “God” to call out the President’s transparent ploy.
After publicly denouncing Trump, God appealed directly to Americans.
Trump’s relationship with Christianity has always been tenuous at best. During the campaign, he referred to Second Corinthians as “Two Corinthians,” and once referred to communion as “my little wine” and “my little cracker.” And yet, since taking office, the religious right has been fawning all over him as if Jesus himself was sitting in the Oval Office.
His “religious” tweet also shows a blatant disregard for the United States Constitution, the document which – unlike the Bible – Trump was actually sworn to uphold. When “God” has to remind a politician where his loyalties should lie, his priorities are obviously dangerously out of order.
Per The Good Lord Above, God himself put it best:
“Don’t believe a word Trump says. He’s the goddamn devil.”
If anyone would know, it’s God.
