Rachel Maddow has top ratings!!! FOX is fading!

Rachel Maddow Takes A Commanding Lead

Congratulations to MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, whose show on Wednesday drew an astounding 2.875 million viewers on May 17. In fact, The Rachel Maddow Show drew more viewers than any other primetime cable news program, becoming the most watched broadcast on cable news.
In comparison, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson had 2.748 million viewers tune in to see his show.
Although there is no doubt that Rachel Maddow is the star of the MSNBC lineup, almost every other show, with the exception of All In with Chris Hayes, was also either competitive with or beat out Fox News.
As PoliticusUSA reports, Maddow’s stellar reporting and in-depth coverage of Donald Trump, combined with Bill O’Reilly’s timely downfall, have resulted in a surge of popularity for the liberal-leaning host.
“After Bill O’Reilly had been fired from Fox News, it was only a matter of time until Maddow rose to the top spot as the most-watched show on cable news. Rachel Maddow has also benefitted from the Trump presidency as no journalist on cable news primetime is better equipped to handle the fact-free world of endless Trump scandals and lies than Maddow. Rachel Maddow appears to be the right voice at this particular time in American political history.”

As Rachel Maddow Soars, Fox News Begins To Crumble

Furthermore, Fox News’s avoidance of the mounting Trump administration scandals and connections with Russia have become a joke, while Rachel Maddow continues to dig deeper and deeper, offering coverage that is thorough and insightful. Maddow actually reminds viewers of what journalism used to look like, while Fox News looks more and more like a propaganda arm for the Trump White House.

And, perhaps, the fact that Fox News no longer dominates in the ratings while a show – and network – that leans distinctly left skyrockets to the lead indicates a promising shift in public view. As a decidedly and increasingly unpopular Republican president continues to shred democracy and embarrass the United States on an almost daily basis, and a GOP-led Congress openly wages battle against the poor and middle class in an effort to garner massive tax breaks for their wealthy donors, maybe America is embracing more liberal ideals.
Certainly their viewing preference is leaning decidedly left – and that can only be a good thing.
