Steve Bannon is reportedly calling Jared Kushner a "cuck" and a "globalist."
When the news broke yesterday that Steve Bannon had been abruptly booted from President Trump's National Security Council, the White House practically pulled a hamstring trying to spin the story as a carefully considered, mutually agreed-upon decision that had Bannon's full support. Because Bannon is a power-hungry sociopath who considers it his responsibility to "destroy the administrative state," the administration's decision to loudly downplay the move sounded awfully dubious, and today, the other shoe dropped.
Donald Trump’s chief strategist Stephen Bannon has called the president’s senior advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner a “cuck” and a “globalist” during a time of high tension between the two top aides, several Trump administration officials told The Daily Beast.
"Cuck," as we have explained before, is the catch-all Internet slur of choice for angry, insecure white dudes grappling with the crushing weight of their own impotence and inadequacy, while the Daily Beast helpfully explains that "globalist" is a pejorative term that carries anti-Semitic overtones. This is, to use a technical term, some wild shit. While Syrian despots are launching chemical attacks on civilians and North Korea is popping off nuclear missiles like Nerf guns, a senior White House official is spending his waking hours using the dialect of the Pepe the Frog Avatar Crew to hurl anti-Semitic insults at the President's Jewish son-in-law.
One official said Bannon has lately complained about Kushner trying to “shiv him and push him out the door” and likened him to a fifth column in the White House.
What a shock that a White House headed by the AARP-eligible king of the alt-right and a Millennial lifelong Democrat is having trouble putting together anything resembling a coherent policy agenda. In fact, Bannon is reportedly so very angry about this namby-pamby trust-fund baby coming in and trampling on the culmination of his lifelong ethno-nationalist fantasy that he even reportedly broke out his best LeBron James imitation when threatening to resign.
Unfortunately for Kushner, his antagonist has some very powerful and very angry media friends who are ready and willing to spring to their man's defense, and Bannon himself has reportedly been walking around the halls of the West Wing this week telling anyone who will listen how much he loves a "gun fight," a phrase that I am... 68 percent sure he doesn't mean literally here.
Anyway, the two men who are fighting tooth and nail for control of the United States of America are a 63-year-old movie producer-turned-nationalist blogger and a 36-year-old business school graduate. And since neither combatant possessed an ounce of substantive political or diplomatic experience before last month, remember that no matter which one of them eventually prevails, the country will be led by a shadow president who is not remotely qualified for the job he snatched from the other's feeble, failing grasp.
